Am writing angsty Dan/Jan-ish Heroes-related fic. First time writing extended Jack/Daniel interaction. I quite like it, actually. I don't feel like I'm getting Jack down correctly, but I don't think I've ever had a really good handle on these characters, so this is nothing new. Unfortunately, as for the fic itself...well, have you heard the cliche about a piece of writing being light (not necessarily light-hearted, but just encompassing a very fragile atmosphere) like a souffle? Well, I think this one was like that souffle. Except now it's starting to crash down in the pan, and I'm swimming through whatever the hell it is that souffles are made of. Grrr.
