School daze
Mar. 28th, 2008 08:38 pmHuh. I found out from Wikipedia that parts of this music video were filmed at my high school, and what do you know, those are definitely the over-varnished wooden floors (the building is more than 150 years old) and terrifically blue lockers I remember. Also, the library and Mr. Hornaday's former chemistry classroom make appearances. And if that chick is supposed to be a high school student, she has an amazing bedroom.
I recommend turning the sound off, as it's gag-inducing country music.

Huh. My mom went to a high school with over-varnished wood floors. Turns out the varnish was pretty flammable. They found that out when the place burnt to the ground. Oops!

Didn't you have an 8-ft long engraved stone fireplace in your childhood bedroom? In which you lounged in a prom dress and fondled your guitar while weeping shiny rhinestone tears? I know I did.

Hey, there *is* such a thing as good country music. This... is not it. Poor girl needs a cliche-ectomy, stat!

Best lab safety video EVAR!! (Because chemical burns = twu wuv, obviously.) That's why you wear gloves, kids!
Bwahahahaha. Yeah, when that thing bubbled over, I expected her to run screaming over to the sink...but no.

My mother was convinced throughout my four years there that it would one day go up in flames. I always wondered myself. Perhaps that's why they eliminated the shop classes in the eighties... (Also, rooms with bunsen burners or other sources of open flame had tile floors. There were some precautions.)

I had to make do with a woodstove and a ukelele.

Maybe in your odd little world...
