Got my hair cut today. A wee bit shorter than I had anticipated, but *shrug*. It'll grow. It ends right around my chin, and I wanted it a tad bit longer than that, but oh, well.
I also got a spiffy check card and I'll be getting my own checkbook to take to school this year instead of just stealing checks from the one checkbook we have at the moment. Of course, I can't use the card at an ATM without a charge because, naturally, AmSouth doesn't have any branches in Ohio. (The name is kind of a dead giveaway there--yay for the southeast.)

Cricket was apparently trying to play with the kitten (alternately Chaos, Bo Jangles, or Dempsey--we really need to find a name we can all agree on) all along, 'cause now they're playing together all the time. The cat will sit up on a chair and bat at anything that comes near him, like dog noses or passing dog tails. The space behind the loveseat in the den is only big enough for the cat, not the dogs, so he'll run behind there and then swarm up over the top from behind it and confuse the hell out of the dogs, who are still looking for him down on the ground. Heh.

Uuuuuugh. A week and a half until I have to go baaaaack. Bah. Mom wants to leave on the 24th and spend two days driving up to Gambier. I'd rather get it all done on the 25th and spend only the one night in a motel. Either way, it means I need to start packing what wasn't just left in the box it came home in, which thankfully isn't really all that much. Blerg. I think that's why I'm not so thrilled about going back to school--the packing!

My aunt loaned me lots of DVDs, including When Harry Met Sally and You've Got Mail (which I've seen a million times, but could watch a million more, 'cause it's so freaking cute). Just need Sleepless in Seattle and Joe vs. the Volcano (which mostly sucked, but had some decent bits) and I could have me a Meg Ryan fest. At any rate, I'm off to the TV.

Date: 2003-08-15 08:57 am (UTC)Right there with you. I go back a week from Monday and I'm beginning to realize that since this is the last year of undergrad I'm going to have to start interning after this year in a job market that's nonexistent for architects. So I really don't want classes to start.
