Aug. 9th, 2008 07:21 pmExciting times in Knoxville, folks. Mostly involving novels and Spanish review books and cleaning fluids. Although I made a trip down to the branch library today and got all library carded up, yay. I like that the library is only a five-minute walk from my apartment, and that the circ desk lady is awfully nice. As are the patrons, as far as I could tell (one introduced herself to me and chatted about grad school).
Also, I played with my latest acquisition:

This is perfect! I steep my teabags for about twenty minutes, or maybe five less for Irish Breakfast, so in the past I've always had to put a plate over the cup to keep it warm. Now it stays both warm and attractive while it steeps!
Hmmm. Now, dinner, I think, and then back to OD'ing on X-Files fanfic and ghosty novels.

Date: 2008-08-10 12:49 am (UTC)Wow, you have a lot of patience for tea. I drink Ruby Chai these days and while I leave the tea bag in while I drink, I don't steep it much beforehand. Do you add any milk or sugar?

Date: 2008-08-10 12:53 am (UTC)It's not so much that I have patience as that I want my tea to taste like something besides water. (Of course, I grew up on iced tea that steeps upwards of two hours before we take the teabags out. My tastes may be skewed.) I add probably more sugar than is good for me (something like four teaspoons to a cup) and a dash of milk.
