Instead of subconsciously trying to fit every original fic idea into the 3-pages-double-spaced-maxium mold that's necessary to apply for the second semester's intro fiction class and getting ticked and giving up when they don't fit, I'm gonna put the big stuff on the back burner and start writing things specifically to fit the requirements. (The length one, and the implied bias against sci-fi/fantasy and excerpts of longer works...grrr.) Maybe I'll try for one vignette--that's what these things are, really--a day for the next week.

*talks to self in self-motivational voice* "Small ideas, small plots, small, small, small..."

P.S. tarzanic, the Sam/Jack physics-fic will be done at some point in the relatively near future, I swear. Still kicking my ass, but I'm starting to kick back.
