So it rained the entire way from Knoxville to Nashville (that's about 180 miles), but luckily I was home before it turned to sleet and then snow. The ground and even roads are covered right now.

What is this madness? It never snows this early in December down here. It almost never snows in December, period. Hmmm. The Farmer's Almanac did mention that it would be a cold and snowy winter this year. Gah. So over snow...

(I haz doggehs! Doggehs whom I don't think remembered me too well! Poor memory-deficient pups.)

My friends say it snowed in New Orleans today. I dunno.

It's snowed twice in New Orleans that I remember -- Christmas Day in 2004, and sometime the week before Christmas in 1989. My mother's The Snow of 1978/etc. stories all took place late December, too. It never snows in January (and February is spring for us, anyway).

So, even if by some twisted feat of imagination one were to construe snow in New Orleans as a bad thing, it's not really setting a precedent.

Our winter has been going so slowly; it's only really snowed once or twice. Bah.

Hrm. I don't remember if it sets a precedent here; I recall big snow storms (well, TN-style big) in December, February, March, and even the beginning of April, but all in different years.
