So I just learned the hard way that searching for "bones" in the LJ interests field yields practically nothing by pro-anorexia communities. Oy. ("Temperance Brennan" at least works as a good replacement term.)

(Speaking of LJ searches, what on earth has happened to ljseek.com? Every time I type in something, the max results returned are in the neighborhood of five, even for incredibly common terms. Anyone know a good LJ post search engine to use as a replacement? Or has LJ finally gotten on that boat and I just haven't been paying attention?)

The best LJ comm out there for Bones is 206_Bones for info and spoilers and fic and icons and pictures but they're pretty current on everything so you may get spoiled accidentally.

I don't know what's up with LJSeek (not that it does me any good whatsoever since I went FO). I could swear I remember reading something in a news post aeons ago saying that they were working on something you could use to search your journal, including locked posts if you were logged in, but I've heard nothing about it recently. :-\

Oh, what I wouldn't give for a Google search for LJ. I've never understood why Google couldn't search pages that you're logged into--well, okay, I understand why, but it seems to me that there should be a way for Google to work its magic if you're logged in.

ETA: I keep forgetting to tell you (well, I remembered once and then LJ ate that part of the post and it never made it into the re-creation) that Pommes Frites in NYC has poutine! I will have to go back at some point and try it, but I thought of you as soon as I saw it on the menu.

Yeah, I was describing it to Annie and telling her that it's one of those things that seems meant to kill you. Still want to try it, though!
