Bones S4: Yanks in the UK (Parts 1 and 2)
Dec. 20th, 2008 10:30 pmI got my wish! Both parts of this episode were almost as hilarious as "The Baby in the Bough"!
Part 1
- Okay, I'm back to wanting to kill Sweets. Especially after what he instigated in the second episode, ARGH!
- And the UK team is totally a genderswapped B&B! With sex! Oh, someone please tell me there's Pritchard/Wexler fic out there. Please. I want to read it so very badly.
- *snerk* at Booth's totally inappropriate and yet incredibly hilarious "I hate England" rant in the middle of a traffic circle in London. I just tended to whine in here when I felt that way.
- "He had a little gay crush on you." Angela, could you replace Sweets? Because I like you a lot more than I like him. I don't even like him in a "love to hate him way," except for those (admittedly relatively frequent) moments when he's getting absolutely humiliated. (BTW, speaking of Sweets, did y'all know there was a "Couples Counseling" podcast on iTunes with little video snippets of B&B in the waiting rooms of Wyatt and Sweets? They're brief and low-budget, but hilarious.)
- Again with the hilarity as Booth tries to parallel park on the wrong side of the road! This episode made me laugh and laugh.
- Awww. The universe speaks pretty.
- !!!! Brennan is smelling the evidence! Soon she'll be tasting it and then her transformation into Benton Fraser will be complete! I AM A PROPHET! (Oh dear god I need less caffeine.)
Part 2
- Yay for Cam getting some! Except for the part where she precipitates the Angela/Hodgins breakup.
- Speaking of which, ANGELA AND HODGINS CAN'T BREAK UP! They're too adorable for breaking up! AAAAAHHHHHH!!! Are we going to need another death-defying adventure to get them back? With Angela at death's door this time? Or is there a simpler solution? *locks them together in a closet without any security cameras* Grrr. I knew that diner was evil, and this--along with the blatant sniper angles and all the other things I know were bad but can't remember--proves it! Can we bring back Wong Fu's and its good karma?
- Aw, bye, Clark. I loved you. You could still stay? Get used to the intraoffice drama you mock so amusingly?
- Aaaaand Pritchard suspects B&B of being a couple. Because Brennan didn't sleep with Wexler because Booth would object. WILL YOU TWO PLEASE JUST RIDE OFF INTO THE SUNSET TOGETHER ALREADY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD???
Ohhhhhh, I need to lay off the capslock there.

Date: 2008-12-21 07:13 pm (UTC)Traffic circles are evil and I totally understood Booth's frustration!
I do have to disagree with you about Sweets - I like him. And his character definitely facilitates a lot in terms of conversations beginning because people ask him a question and run off with a misconstrued version of what he was trying to say.
Sorry but I can't point you in the direction of the other episodes from this season. I rely on fox.com

I think they're intrisically good, but only if everyone using them knows how to use them. Add in even one person who doesn't, and it devolves into chaos.

Oof. I keep wanting to strangle him.
And his character definitely facilitates a lot in terms of conversations beginning because people ask him a question and run off with a misconstrued version of what he was trying to say.
I like that kind of thing as a running joke, but it's started to run too often. I would like him much better if he only showed up perhaps three times a season.
