B5 Thoughts

icepixieWas the ending of "Babylon Squared" supposed to be as confusing as it was, or am I just zwacked out on cold medicine? Zathras says Sinclair is not THE ONE...and yet THE ONE takes his helmet off and is revealed to be Sinclair...and Delenn is in whatever time B4 has moved to...and...what? Does this all get explained later?
(Speaking of Delenn, did I ever mention how much I enjoy her? I think after Ivanova, she's my favorite character. Mira Furlan certainly blows everyone except possibly Peter Jurasik and Andreas Katsulas out of the water in terms of acting, anyway.)
I enjoyed the opening of that episode. Poor, poor Ivanova. So not a morning person. I kind of want to write fic about her revenge on Garibaldi. I'm sure it would be epic.
One place the theatre-style lighting design this show uses worked really well is in the Grey Council meeting. The spotlights were nifty, especially when some went dark to signal voting.
Throughly enjoyed the "Ivanova is God" speech in "Voice in the Wilderness," despite this being probably the tenth time I've watched that scene. I want to be her. Except minus all her family tragedy. And all her past and future tragedies in relationships. Okay, maybe I just want to take lessons in assertiveness from her.
And apparently in that episode (or was it the one before? I can't remember), Talia and Susan have their first date! *g*
I like all the background details of the universe we get now and then. I see JMS is an adherent of Chekhov's "gun on the wall" maxim, because most of them are either turning out to be significant or, from what I remember, will be in seasons to come. I kind of wish this were a novel or novel series and not a TV show, because I want to go around underlining things and making notes and asterisks.

I think I already have a fair idea of some of the answer, actually. I know Sinclair has a Minbari soul, and I seem to remember reading that he and B4 go back in time 1,000 years to work against the Shadows. What I can't remember is how Delenn fits into that.
