Eeeee! I found out today that I passed the Spanish translation exam! I won't have to take a class or study harder and take the test again! Woot!
In less exciting news, I also found out that next semester the two classes I teach are MWF at 8 and 9:05. Gack. I'm not entirely certain the distance between the two buildings can be covered in the fifteen-minute break I have. Will have to try it out this week...

You know... I teach at 8:30, and I think it's the best thing ever. My students are way less distracted and more alert than (say) my evening freshman-German classmates.

My 101 class last semester was at eight, and some days they were alert and eager, and some days they were just dead. Of course, the same could be said for me. I guess it's good that this is the less discussion-heavy part of the year, so if everyone's just dragging, I can give some groupwork or a writing assignment to spice things up.
