Interests: Irish things
Apr. 2nd, 2009 10:23 pmIn my Joyce class this morning, I brought up a passage for discussion, and the prof said, "I knew you were going to bring that one up! I knew it!"
I may be a bit predictable.
(For those who've read it, it's the first parody of Irish heroic myth in "Cyclops," the one where the Citizen includes such personages as "Benjamin Franklin," "Herodotus," "Jack the Giantkiller," and "the last of the Mohicans" among famous Irishmen.)
I have three papers to write in three and a half weeks, so comment replies and posting will take longer than usual. I am gunning for April 29th, after which I will...read things for my next meeting with my thesis director and our next reading list study group. Hello, summer.

Oh, and I'm going to work maybe ten or fifteen hours at the journal in exchange for some weeks off next year. This will, in theory, mean that I don't have a giant freakout next year because I'll have much of the thesis/exam work done. We shall see...
