Bones season finale

icepixieGreat episode! Actually, it was my favorite of the season, or rather of what parts of the season I've bothered with this year. I loved the way they incorporated everyone in such a meta way. (Best line of the night, from Sweets: "Some people think I'm Gormagon." BWAH!) The only thing that fell flat was "Gormagon's" music, which I had to mute. But you know the one thing that would've made it better? Let me show you through a rewrite:
[B&B are snuggling after she's told him she's pregnant]
Booth: Wow. You know, this whole murder investigation gave me the craziest reoccurring dream. I dreamed you were a forensic anthropologist, and I was an FBI agent. We did this thing where we danced around our attraction for YEARS! And all of our employees were in the dream, too, working as scientists or something. It was weird.
Brennan: That does sound weird. Aren't you glad we own a nightclub instead?
[Show continues with the adventures of the nightclub in S5, turning B&B into Nick and Nora-style amateur investigators]
I'd totally watch the show if it were about this AU version of everyone. As it is...I'll wait for reports from people who watch S5 before I try it again. I'm sure it will be disappointing.

Date: 2009-05-16 04:45 pm (UTC)Still not sure on the next season myself. I think I probably will at least start watching it and see how irritating it gets.
On the plus side (at least for me), if there the inevitable Booth/Brennan cannon couple does show up, I'm having a very very hard time picturing them being the least bit sappy, so that helps a bit on my anti Booth/Brennan mindset. (Seriously! They're BFF! I can't help but worry Actual Sex would mess that up some how)

I liked this incarnation of B&B together. I wonder if the real thing would be as good.
