You know how "text" has become the de facto short form of "text message"? EVERY TIME I see it used in a sentence, I think "literary text." Which is what leads me to incidents like reading number six on this list, and spending several seconds wondering if Chris Pine is a fan of D.H. Lawrence or something.

Oh, he is so pretty. Why does he have to be so dumb?

Is he pretty? I have to admit, I see nothing distinguishing about him. Of them all, I think I preferred Chekhov, but purely in a "I want to pinch his cheeks and pat him on the head" sort of way.

But yes, "text" works clearly as a verb, but as a noun referring to messaging... that's easily confusable. *coughfornerdscough*
