Well, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting considering your title! I find myself wondering if it'd be okay without those weird-ass pockets sticking out like someone mis-measured the material and never figured it out...but then I am a child of the 80s, so perhaps not?
Nothing at all about that outfit is sane. Not the pockets, not the skinny ankles, not the pink stripe at the top, not the shoes she wore with it, not the bouffant-type thing she has going on with her hair...
I'm with the commenters who think she must have lost a bet.
She's on Castle. It's kind of like a less-absurd version of Moonlighting. Worth watching, IMO, if you like UST and Nathan Fillion being his charming self.
How did you miss Nathan Fillion being on a new show? ;) Anyway, he stars as a quirky multi-millionaire mystery writer (complete with uber-responsible teenage daughter and crazy old actress mother) who's writing a book based on Stana Katic's character, an NYC homicide detective. He finagles his way into shadowing her on all her cases. There is boundless UST, and it's pretty funny. (See icon.)
Sounds like a delightful fluffy fun romp. With FIGHTING CRIME!
Also, is Stana Katic's character called Kate Beckett by any chance? Because said fictional Kate is currently doing very well in a fandom poll about kick-ass female character, and you know me: I'm always up for a show with a great female lead!

It totally is!

She is indeed called Kate Beckett. I've heard of that poll; she does appear to be doing well, and for good reasons. She's got the sort of cliched tragic past that made her become a cop, but there's obviously more going on underneath that that's interesting to see revealed. And she can take Castle down like nobody's business. ;) Yay banter!
