Hem's soundtrack to Twelfth Night is streaming here. I pre-ordered the CD from Nettwerk, and was most displeased to find it wasn't shipping until the end of October. But now I can listen to it now! And it is lovely. The tracks are a bit shorter than I expected, but I guess it's incidental music for a play, so that makes sense.
And no Sally Ellyson singing, but Raul Esparza makes a pretty good substitute. And I love the orchestrations. So pretty.

My favorite's still "Come Away Death"...trio of awesome, and unexpectedly chilling in the midst of excessive Shakespearean snark.
That one is very, very impressive. I'm partial to "Wind and Rain" and "Where is Fancy Bred" (which...is apparently from Merchant of Venice? I guess Dan Messe got a little ambitious). And several of the instrumentals are so pretty...I kind of wish they'd expand on some of them, like "Enter Sebastian," "one Self King," and "This is the Air." I guess that would be greedy of me to wish, since they're coming out with a really long new album in a few months, but I still wish it.
BTW, do you know if Raul Esparza sings the lead in "Come Away Death"? It sure sounds like him, but I looked up the text, and Feste is supposed to sing that one.

Feste sings the lead in "Come Away Death"; Senor Esparza joins him after a few verses, then Anne Hathaway. Twas brilliant.
