Okay, the episode was worth it entirely for Castle getting his grammar geek on. But then it had the hilarious bet, and everyone going all supercop because of it, and there was a nice brief mention of Beckett's mother's case, and Martha and Alexis were awesome, and...yeah, I think this one might be my favorite episode yet. (Even with the hoary Strangers on a Train resolution, which I saw coming as soon as said bet was made. Still, there's a reason it's a cliche, I guess. It's pretty good.)

We know that the killer was poor - he was constantly borrowing money from his F-I-L. I know that poor =/= uneducated (I'm hella poor at the moment so I'm positive of this) but there's a strong correlation.

I suppose it's true that they didn't mention. I guess I took the coveting of the cheap apt and the borrowing money to = poor which isn't necessarily true.

But I agree that the bet and the grammar snark is what really made the episode.
