Character meme

1) Post a list of up to 20 books/movies/anime/TV shows/video games/bands [fannish etc.] that you've had an obsessive fannish love or interest in at some time in your life.
2) Have your f-list guess your favourite character/member from each item.
3) When someone guesses correctly, strikethrough the item and put the name of your favorite character next to it.
Some of these should be blindingly obvious for anyone who's read my journal ever. Others have multiple correct answers.

Correct on both counts! Because really, who can't love Geoffrey, and Anna is just so...Anna. The long-suffering calm in the eye of the storm. The one sane person at the asylum. Etc.

Right again! I so hope LMB has one more book in her actually starring Cordelia and Aral. Maybe set when Miles was a little kid or something...

Beckett and Castle share the spot, so you're right on both counts.
5. Ivanova (You love her paired with Garibaldi)
Indeed! Actually, I love her paired with pretty much anybody, as well as on her own, although yes, the Ivanova/Garibaldi pairing is definitely my favorite. But she's just so awesome and snarky. Definitely in strong contention for "favorite character ever."
7. The 4th Doctor (Though you do have a soft spot for the 9th doctor)
Actually, no, although I do like Four. My favorite is probably one that most people won't know off the tops of their heads.
20. I'm totally guessing here... but since you have a soft spot for nerds.. I'd have to say Chuck.
Although I don't dislike anyone on PD, Chuck and another character are probably my two least favorite. (Granted, I still like them more than a lot of characters on other shows.) I do have a soft spot for nerds, but I have a softer spot for the one I call my favorite.

Emerson Cod was your fav... how could I have forgotten Emerson with his knitting and his pop up books.. oh Emerson. :D

Very close! Emerson is definitely in the running, and I like him for many of the same reasons I like my favorite character.

Indeed, it is Julia, aka Blonde Doctor Chick. She was a spy who turned good, and I thought that was freaking awesome. Also, she has angst over her genetic manipulation, which is good times.

Ding ding ding! Of course she's my favorite. She has a hoop skirt that turns into a ladder. She spies for Queen Victoria. She has my name. Truly, she's the epitome of Victorian awesome.

Both of them miss the number one spot by micrometers. My favorite is kind of cut from the same cloth, too. (I actually can't remember really disliking any of the characters; there were a couple I found kind of boring, but I think it was more because they only got thirteen episodes, and they didn't really get a chance to shine in any of them.)
Edited to fix the egregious mixed metaphor that just bugged me too much to let go.

Date: 2009-10-30 02:21 am (UTC)Heh heh. Okay, more hints: She's human, and she's a she. No spinoffs that I know of. Oh, and she's had adventures with more than one version of the Doctor. (And Sarah Jane is probably my...hmmm..second or third favorite. After the character in first place, there's kind of a jumble of favorites, including one version of the Doctor.)
