Love, love, love Baen books for their policy of putting up the first third or half or so of a book online. By the time I get around to finishing what's up there and at David Drake's own website of The Far Side of the Stars, it'll be Thanksgiving break and I can just go buy the book and finish it! ;) Come to think of it, I could probably also buy the second book of the series before barreling into the third...

The man is such a tease, though. Daniel and Adele have this whole Jane Austen-esque, dance-around-each-other, I-don't-want-a-partner versus I-want-as-many-girls-as-I-can-get thing going on, and just keeps going in an agonizingly slow fashion. Dude. There's UST there. Capitalize on it. Quickly. Before I feel compelled to fic it. (God, no! I've stayed out of ficcing for print universes thus far...!)
