Totally OT here, but...

Rachael and I just finished watching the second new episode of Doctor Who with the new Doctor. No spoilers, but...

If you haven't yet, now's absolutely the time for you to come back to Who. The new companion, Amy Pond? She's brilliant, the Doctor's true equal in ways I think Russell *thought* Rose was, only she wasn't. Don't get me wrong, I still love Rose, I still ADORE Donna (and won't ever stop recommending her season to the utmost), but Amy and her balance with the Doctor are kicking serious butt. I have a feeling you'll love it.

Your comment cracks me up, because I was just thinking about telling her the same thing! I haven't seen tonight's ep yet, but last week rocked something fierce, and from the look of the spoiler-free cut tags on the flist, tonight's might be even better! I hope to find out tomorrow, but basically? The king is dead. Long live the king!

The non-RTDness of it is somewhat tempting, I admit. And I've heard good things about Amy Pond (though I haven't gone out of my way to read up on the new season).

Maybe after graduation. (Maybe I can breathe after graduation.) Is anyone in the US still showing episodes? To be honest, I don't know that I want to bother downloading them, but I'd be willing to catch these episodes in a year or so once they hit the US airwaves (or, uh, Huluwaves, more likely, unless I'm still living at home by that point).

It's all BBCA now, with ads/cuts. No more SciFi. Can you DVR it until then, or something along that line? I seriously, seriously doubt that it'll ever show up on Hulu. (YouTube, on the other hand...though that's a pain.)

BBCA is on the uber-expensive cable tier in TN. I doubt I'll ever see it unless I move somewhere else and actually get cable, the latter of which looks very unlikely. (Actually getting a TV would be a step up for me.)

I guess if I ever watch it, it'll have to be via downloads, or else I'd have to wait until it comes out on DVD and I can Netflix.

BBC America will be showing the new Doctor's season starting on this Saturday, so they'll just be running 2 weeks behind. Dunno if they'll put episodes up on a website, or when Skiffy will be getting the eps, though I expect that'll happen in time as well.
