icepixie | Castle 2.22 "Food to Die for"

One thought, really: the parallels between the chef/girl/murderer and Castle/Beckett/Demming were obvious, but not too obvious...until they had that conversation between Castle and Beckett, and Castle was all Father of the Year. And then Beckett broke her date with Demming, and I had to say, "Okay, I get it." Any of those would've been fine on their own; together, they approached an anviliciousness this show rarely, if ever, gets to. (Of course, for, say, Bones, this would be an improvement...)

It does really seem like they're gearing up for some kind of movement forward in the Castle/Beckett relationship, though. I could see the wheels in Castle's head turning as they discussed Wolf's cleaning up of his bad boy image for a girl he liked. Plus there was that ominous mention of Gina...

I did enjoy Alexis's solution to her dilemma. I've used that excuse more than a few times myself. And I enjoyed even more Castle's insistence that he was going to distract the hell out of her all weekend. Hee. (Plus, that liquid nitrogen thing, where he went all fake-villain? DOUBLE HEE.)

I'm glad she might actually get a friendship out of this episode.
