Bloody phlegm tends to equal nasty things like pneumonia, doesn't it. Fuck. Can I just have something go in and completely disinfect my entire respiratory tract, sinuses to lungs? Maybe inhale a vat of amonia? I haven't been healthy since I fucking got here. Y'all have no idea how much I just want to go the hell home. But no. No, I get to miss more classes in order to go see Doc Schermer tomorrow morning, 'cause they don't have hours in the afternoon on Wednesdays. Fuck! Dammit, dammit, dammit!!!
Ahem. I'm having a bad couple of days, as you might have been able to tell. Yesterday I got a B on the Anthro test I thought I had a perfect score on, my roommate locked me out while I was in the shower and I had to stand around the hall in my towel while waiting for security to come unlock the door (and pay them $5 to do it), bought the wrong flavour yogurt (which I'm only eating 'cause I'm on antibiotics and I don't want other infections in other places...cinnamon apple flavour isn't bad, but strawberry banana? Ew)...gah. I did do better on my Econ test than I thought I had, though. B+! 70%! Woo-hoo! (The curves in that class are the best ever. ;))
Off to work on my paper. Waaaah.

Date: 2003-04-29 10:12 pm (UTC)Bloody phlegm doesn't necessarily mean pneumonia (or bronchitis, that's a possibility as well) - it could simply mean that your throat is all torn up from all the coughing and the phlegm is picking up blood on the, um, way up. Yeah.
When I had pneumonia, not only did I have a cough/sore throat/some nausea/feeling of detachedness, I also couldn't breathe properly - it felt like there was a heavy weight on my chest. Also, I literally lost my voice. AND, I was pretty much totally incapable of doing anything, but less even contemplating working on a paper.
And my sister was in pretty much the same condition whenever she had bronchitis.
So yes, go to the stupid doctor right away. But don't get too worried about it yet.
(((((Becca)))))) Freshman year is always the hardest, hon. You'll pull through.
