Oh, for crying out loud, LJ. You do not need to help Facebook take over the world.

I'm joining the chorus of "Please do not repost comments you make in my journal to Facebook or Twitter, especially not on flocked entries." I try to keep one-way anonymity; I don't care if y'all know my RL identity, but I don't want people in RL who don't already know about it finding out my username here.

I have seven Dreamwidth invite codes if anyone wants them.

Yup. My thoughts exactly. I just want to have one place in my life where I can have some peace and quiet in order to conduct civilized conversations concerning tentacle porn.

And I am now starting to post more comments on Dreamwidth and generate more activity over there because LJ has been gradually pissing me off.

\o/ I don't think I'll ever fully wean myself off of LJ, because I have a fair few non-fandom friends over there who aren't going to switch to DW. And sometimes I kind of enjoy the phone posts. But I approve of more activity over here.

Oh, I'm not going to leave LJ behind, either, because my f-list isn't going to do so, but I thought I should show a bit more support for DW by switching over here whenever I can. At the moment, it's far more user-friendly than LJ. For example, I unsubscribed to the LJ "news" announcements a while ago because they were becoming a downright embarassment to read while the DW newsletter actually gives me a decent update about the features they've been working on.

I've not come across that specific problem with facebook but there are reasons I left facebook and have no intention of ever going back. I encourage all to join me in the leaving of facebook. :)

There are just enough people I like on it that I keep checking it every couple weeks, but I truly loathe their approach to privacy, or lack thereof, and I definitely wish LJ were not aiding and abetting them.
