More pictures

Hmmm. Apparently my problem with renewing my account this year had to be referred to developers and "may take some time," so no Scrapbook for me for a while. Photobucket it is.

Anyway, there was snow yesterday. I personally was not any more or less ambivalent about it due to the fact that it came on Christmas, but I did enjoy taking pictures, at least until I couldn't feel my fingers or toes anymore.

As aria said, it looked much like Narnia across a large swath of the South, because this snow was thick and stuck to everything:





However, one could still see berries peeking out of the snow. (P.S. In macro mode, my camera can capture individual flakes of snow, OMG.)





(Okay, I screwed up the focus a bit on that one. Anyway.)

The patio garden looks a bit out of place under snow:



And the glass balls in the bird bath look a bit like sugar-frosted candies:

Heh, I like snow to happen once a year, preferably when I don't need to drive in it. Then it can never get below 60 for the rest of the year. Sadly, the weather does not usually cooperate with me.

Indeed! Although I think I hate their autumnal kin, leafblowers, even more, because then I can't keep my windows open during nice weather. :(

That's what our Christmases usually are like--cold, greenish-brown, and bleh. Although occasionally we get a warm spell. I like those.

As usual, gorgeous pictures! I like that you associate pretty snow with Narnia, that's far more poetic than simply associating it with winter. You must have had especially large/fluffy flakes. I bet it was super pretty falling.

Narnia is actually all due to ariastar; I doubt I would've made the connection myself.

I actually didn't see it falling! It all fell overnight, so we just woke up to a couple inches on the ground. It probably would've been pretty, though.
