Just got back from the Chanticleer concert (free, in the music building, five minutes from my dorm) about fifteen minutes ago. Those of you who are at all interested in choral/classical vocal music are probably squeeing right now, but for those know, Chanticleer is an all-male--though I didn't know this for years, because their countertenors and higher voice parts are gorgeous--group that does choral works from as far back as, say, Gregorian chants up to the present, and does acapella versions of pop/jazz/folk/rock songs as well. They are, in a word, awesome. And they did a song arranged by Michael McGlynn, the founder of another famous choral/acapella group, Anúna, which had me squeeing with joy upon seeing it in the program. Happy, happy Becca. SQUEEEE!

Am now in music trance for the next few hours. Hee.
