Fringe: Immortality

Dear Fringe,
For three weeks, I've been saying I trust you to be awesome even when it looks like you're heading for JumptheSharksville. It is now time for you to hold up your end of the bargain and take this somewhere awesome, because I nearly turned off my TV in horror when they showed that ultrasound picture. There's using unusual ways of furthering your multiverse-spanning plot arc, and there's poaching on One Life to Live territory, and for me, this is definitely on the bad side of that divide.
Next week had better be amazing. The preview made it look like it will be--OMG, our universe is starting to die!--but still.
Warily,
Me
The rest of the episode wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. I thought the parallels between the two plots were a little too on the nose, and that particular iteration of ends vs. means is a bit hackneyed, but it's interesting that one of Walternate's lines actually stops before Walter's. Huh. But of course he has no trouble using the fetus as a pawn in his quest to control his own son.
Lincoln's a bit of a jerk, isn't he? "Wah, I still carry a torch for Olivia, so I'm going to ruin the surprise of her boyfriend's marriage proposal." Too bad, because I like him a lot otherwise. He's quite charming.
I saw Fauxlivia still having feelings for Peter coming, but Anna Torv played it very well.
Loved Reiko, mostly because the actress was in Saving Face, which is a great movie.
That's all I got. Next week, please make me sit up and cheer rather than stare in horror.
