icepixieOMG OMG OMG. Lee Pace is going to play Thranduil in The Hobbit. Between that and Jackson's unleashing of massive technical wizardry (something about filming at sixty gajillion frames per second? I forget exactly), now I have to see this in a theatre when it comes out.

I didn't even like the book when I read it (I think I might have been too old; I read it at nineteen or so), but...yes. Hard to go wrong with a combination of Tolkien, Peter Jackson, and Lee Pace.
