I try not to criticize actors' clothing choices too much, because lord knows I'd probably wind up in some horribly unflattering--or perhaps just a parade of blue jeans--if I were an actor and attending assorted charity events and movie premieres.

HOWEVER. Even very pretty people like Dana Delany cannot make off-the-shoulder pink gingham work. Sweetie, I'm sure you wanted to do something with that picnic tablecloth someone gave you as a Secret Santa gift, but turning it into a dress was not the answer.

I can imagine a pink gingham blouse working. It's just the cut of this dress says, "I'm an attractive woman!" and the fabric says "I'm a little girl!" and these things should really not meet, IMO, and they especially should not meet at a very fancy dress event, because gingham is not fancy if you're over the age of ten.
