We had a visitor to the yard this evening. He or she was very fond of the moss roses.

Hmmm...this clover is very nice.

But you know, I feel like something else tonight. Something different.

Oooh! What's this?

Should I? They certainly look delicious...

Oh, what the hell!

Om nom nom nom!

Wait, was that a branch cracking?

Must have been my imagination. Mmmmm...

Well. That was certainly tasty. What else shall I do with my evening?

More clover? Nah.

Maybe I'll just head on home and watch Desperate Houserabbits.
Also, here are some very blue hydrangeas. They're pretty technicolor.

The mimosa tree in the very back of the yard has also started blooming. I tried taking pictures, but it's pretty dark and woody back there, and the leaves and blossoms start so high up on the tree that it's hard to get a decent picture. I'll get one when it drops some blooms. I'm looking forward to being able to smell them; that scent is one of my favorites ever.
In other news, it is HOT, and the ten-day forecast continues to put us in the low, mid, or upper nineties every day. :( On the bright side, either the heat is killing off the cicadas, or they've finally reached the end of their six-week orgy and are dying on their own. Either way, it's much quieter outside now.
