- TRICIA HELFER, OMG! Being evil! Yay! So far, I think I prefer her coldness as the various Sixes, but she's pretty good here as a breezy veneer over a seething cauldron of evil.
- BWAHAHAHA. I loved the client in "Trust Me" paying Michael & co. in cell phones. For them, that's totally better than cash! Look at all the bombs and bugs they can make!
- Awwww, Madeline ships Michael/Fi. She should hang out with Walter Bishop and trade notes on getting one's son to get (or stay) together with the right girl. (OMG can you IMAGINE?)
- Other than that, I have to admit that she's my least-favorite character. Well, her and Nate. I could lose both of them pretty easily.
- Speaking of shipping, I'm less than thrilled with the current plot of "Michael chooses his spy career over Fiona, she tells him that's not enough (which I can understand), then weirdly tries to make him jealous and otherwise indicate she's still interested." Mostly I'm annoyed at the last part. Hopefully they get over that quickly, whether it means Fi tones the teasing down or Michael rearranges his priorities.
- Also, she had a point in "Loose Ends" about how the kind of work he's doing now is both better for the soul, as it were, and maybe a smidge less dangerous than the spy game. I wonder if that's going to eventually be what he ends up deciding for himself. (Him introducing himself as someone who "used to be a spy" was not lost on me.)
- Always good to see Erik Avari getting work as a Vaguely Middle Eastern Hey! It's That Guy.
- I wonder if there's a spy-specific reason why the gang uses actual film rather than digital cameras in 2008. It can't be because they don't have enough money to go digital, not with the profligate way they use it to establish cover identities and buy out half of Home Depot for their various bomb projects. Maybe it just looks cooler.
- Speaking of money, now that Fi isn't expecting "other things" from Michael, I'm guessing there's some kind of remuneration for her help. Come to think of it, I guess she did say that she'll keep helping him with his stuff if he helps with hers, so maybe we just don't see her money-making activities most of the time. (Sam I assume is helping in return for having to inform on Michael to the FBI.)
- I'm just a little sad that the show does seem to be getting darker as Michael delves deeper into the conspiracy behind his burn notice (and Carla is certainly gold-plated evil). However, it's probably necessary at this point; otherwise it wouldn't be believable. At least there are still amusing quotes. :D

Date: 2011-06-14 04:28 pm (UTC)I did warn that the show got darker, and it continues to do so - though it's a very gradual change.
I do seem to remember Fi demanding money from Michael for a job.
Glad you continue to enjoy it. Another week or so until the new season starts!

Date: 2011-06-14 08:58 pm (UTC)Awwww. She and Walter need to hang out.
She does become a lot more "helpful" and less "annoying" as the show progresses though, even doing some stuff on her own.
Oh, good. Right now, I can't help but think, "She stood by and did nothing while her sons were abused, willfully disregards Michael's instructions that he explicitly said were to keep her safe, and now she thinks she gets to dictate terms of their relationship? Bwuh?"
I did warn that the show got darker
Indeed you did.
Another week or so until the new season starts!
I noticed USA is doing marathons of S4 this coming Sunday and the Thursday after...too bad I won't be caught up by then. Argh.
