Everyone involved with Rizzoli and Isles claims there is no intentional subtext, and yet somehow I question this.

S2 premieres tomorrow night, FYI. I haven't decided whether I'll try it again this year or not. I'm in a similar pickle with Warehouse 13, S3 of which also premieres tomorrow night. I watched it last season pretty much entirely for H.G., and now that she's gone...I dunno. Maybe I'll see what people have to say about them before I catch up online.

Do apples grow in your area, or is that more of a Northern thing?

They do grow here, actually, usually on the same land as peach trees. (We are a confused state.) It's not a huge commercial crop like it is up north, but you can go pick them.

Mmm, delicious. The best apples are the ones you pick yourself. And I have to assume the same goes for peaches.

Ooh, are those Rainier cherries? Are they better than the darker kind?

The store claimed they were Bing, and priced them accordingly (= not ridiculously expensive), but the internet does suggest they're Ranier. I don't taste any difference, though. I've had Bings on a spectrum of sour to sweet, and these are towards the sweet end, but that could just be the batch and not the type as a whole.

Whee, my dad and I just finished S1 of Rizzoli and Isles last week! No intentional subtext? We have taken to placing bets on what topics they'll discuss during their in-the-same-bed-sleepover will be.

Yeeeeeah, I found that a bit laughable as well. Sure, the episodes I watched did tend to dwell on how they were OMG TOTALLY STRAIGHT in the dialogue, but SLEEPOVERS. IN THE SAME BED. COME ON.

Fruit is good! I so love when cherries are in season. I wish their season was longer than two months.
