Okay, gang, does Haven get better? Because I want to like it, but I watched the first four episodes and I'm just not feeling it. I don't like any of the characters (and I really can't stand the actress playing Audrey, whom I would buy a generic office worker who's gotten caught up in this, but definitely not as a badass FBI agent), the cases of the week are a chore to sit through, and I'm trying but failing to care about the arc. Spoilers suggest that it gets more interesting by the end of the season, though, so I'd be willing to watch the other nine episodes if they're better than the first four. Thoughts?

I might if the arc is interesting enough. I have started out disliking characters on shows before and come around to liking them. (Olivia on Fringe is a big example, although with her it was more "meh" at first than actual dislike, but now she's like in my top ten characters ever.)

I feel like my biggest problems with it would be solved with more focus on the arc, which it sounds like it gets...?

Keep watching it. The first 6 are especially not great. It gets better after that.

Good to know. I thought it might be one that starts slow. Could I just skip to "As You Were" (ep. 9) without missing too much? It's the oldest one available on Hulu.

I wouldn't. 5 is better, 8 is good. I think you'd miss too much.
