The not-so-itsy, not-so-bitsy spider

Things that should not be: a spider in my bed. The little bastards can have the outdoors, and honestly I've realized that with the trap door to the attic in my bedroom keeping them out of the room itself is a lost cause, but they have no business being in my bed.

(This wasn't even that little; it was a bit bigger than my fingertip. My spider identification skills do at least include the black widow and brown recluse, neither of which this was, so while I'm reasonably certain it wasn't poisonous, that still does not give it the right to be in my bed. I squished it with extreme prejudice.)

Publicity photos are out for the first S2 episode of Body of Proof. (Well, technically it's a leftover from season one, but whatever.) Looks like Bud and Sam are going to have an opportunity to be awesome.

a spider in my bed

Oh, god, that is the WORST. I do not like spiders, but I can accept their existence as long as it as an existence that remains within, say, a 2-foot radius of me, and is never, ever in my bed, or on my chair, or in my clothes or shoes.

Have I shared my spider-in-my-bed trauma with you? I woke up once, and saw a huge spider (about half the size of my fist) on the pillow next to me, an inch away from my face. The only thing that stopped me from screaming was the thought that if I opened my mouth, it would climb in. Needless to say, I spent the rest of that night on the couch. *shudders*

Yeah, I actually kind of like spiders when I can't see them in my personal space; they eat the silverfish that plague me, among other bugs.

That is some serious spider trauma. D:
