Monday Night Femslash
Sep. 5th, 2011 10:19 pmOr, in which Maura plays chess with Tommy in order to make Jane jealous, and Jane responds by making Maura want her even more because of her newly-revealed chess skills.
Heh, yeah, I enjoyed that last bit. Aww. Also enjoyed Jane getting totally jealous of Maura's interest in Tommy...yeah, I guess she was supposed to be just weirded out or something, but it sure looked like jealousy to me.
The plot was even halfway decent! I haven't seen the first episode with Paddy, so I think I missed some of the background, but eh, whatever. I only looked at my book during commercial breaks, instead of whenever Jane and Maura weren't being cute together, which is a definite improvement over most episodes.
The sensitivity and tolerance theme, though...oof. Not their best idea. Did enjoy that it gave us Frost's "Don't even start" to Pike, though. It almost made up for the dumbness of random-harrassing-dockworker and the sensitivity training lady.
ETA: Oh oh oh, also, "You, of course, are coming with me." Bwahahaha. Oh, Jane. You are so bossy. Even when it is for a logical reason like the fact that Maura rode in your car.
