Beyond the Fringe
Oct. 16th, 2011 05:17 pmWait...what?
[Joshua] Jackson is genuinely touched by the fan support "Fringe" receives and has become so attached to Peter, he's dreamt up "tons and tons and tons" of story ideas and plot points to further flesh out the character.
So he wrote Fringe fanfic in the form of a comic book series. Bwahaha! He is such a fanboy! I don't usually care about actors, but I might have to love this guy a little bit.
There are dinosaurs, among other things. It seems that there are two timelines: one (with dinosaurs) that fills in the blanks about how Peter and Walter time-traveled to get the Machine parts and First People book in the right place, and another in...I dunno, Greenverse or something where the native Peter never died, and now that he's a teenager (a really dorky teenager), he "escapes his father for a 'night on the town,'" where he runs into teenage!Olivia. This storyline is written by someone else. Relevant cap.
...Yeah, I figured that last one was worth 99 cents even though I don't like comics, so I downloaded it. It's...really bad. Worse than I was expecting even given that it's a TV tie-in and those are almost never good. Although I do feel like the image of teenage!Olivia kicking a drunk Harvard fratboy in the face with her big, clunky Doc Martens while teenage!Peter looks on all lovestruck is probably worth what I paid for it.

Date: 2011-10-17 02:26 am (UTC)It is pretty awesome. (He also hosted his own PaceyCon last year, complete with, yes, more fanfic. I...I love this guy.)
Jasika Nicole is also quite the fangirl, if her tumblr is anything to go by. She also wrote a self-insert RPF webcomic featuring Kanye West, which just kind of blows my mind. It's at her website, which is all annoyingly flash-based and you have to dig down into, I think, artwork-->high yella magic-->808 at 212.

YES. (And Broyles's FACE in that panel!)
