I still owe people memes. I have not forgotten you.

While I'm working on that, have another meme, seen in various places:

(1) Think of up to 20 ships you support.
(2) List them using descriptions rather than the names of the characters involved.
(3) Have your flist guess as many of the ships (with the fandom) as they can.

1. She went to another universe to be with him; he changed the timeline of two universes so she would live. (Olivia Dunham/Peter Bishop, Fringe, guessed by [personal profile] twtd)

2. They fight crime aliens. Mentioning smoking around them is probably a bad idea. (Mulder/Scully, X-Files, guessed by [personal profile] aria)

3. They're the two most powerful people in their entire civilization. She used his people and resources against his direct orders and he threw her in jail, but they got over it. (Laura Roslin/Bill Adama, BSG, guessed by [livejournal.com profile] rivendellrose)

4. "Explosive" doesn't begin to describe this relationship. (Michael Westen/Fiona Glenanne, Burn Notice, guessed by [livejournal.com profile] thespatz)

5. So much awkward in so relatively few episodes. Also, semaphore. (Benton Fraser/Meg Thatcher, due South, guessed by [livejournal.com profile] rowdycamels)

6. They have sleepovers, share clothes, occasionally engage in inappropriate touching (like one slapping the other on the ass), and basically live in each other's pockets, but they're TOTALLY STRAIGHT, OBVIOUSLY. (Jane Rizzoli/Maura Isles, Rizzoli & Isles, guessed by [personal profile] twtd)

7. They frequently compare each other unfavorably to tapeworms and other unsavory creatures, but the universe knows they were meant for each other.

8. He writes crime, and together, they fight it. (Kate Beckett/Rick Castle, Castle, guessed by [personal profile] aria)

9. Their lives really could be a musical, given who plays each of them. A musical with pie and herbal crack. (Olive Snook/Alfredo Aldarisio, Pushing Daisies, guessed by [livejournal.com profile] rowdycamels)

10. This pairing's idea of a perfect evening spent together would be curled up together in a library, reading and writing. They're also very fond of gadgets, the more steampunk the better.

11. In their middle and old age, they basically rule the galaxy. (Delenn/Susan Ivanova, Babylon 5, guessed by [personal profile] aria)

12. He would really like to count her spots. (Jadzia Dax/Julian Bashir, DS9, guessed by [personal profile] twtd)

13. They've pretended to be the most famous romantic couples ever written, but their relationship is more than words on a page. (Geoffrey Tennant/Ellen Fanshaw, Slings & Arrows, guessed by [livejournal.com profile] rowdycamels)

14. They break the fourth wall a lot while they fight crime, and veer occasionally into Shakespeare, film noir, and big musical production numbers.

15. She wants to be an adventurer. He enables her.

16. He might be a god. She thinks he's crazy. This doesn't bother him as much as it should. (Trevor Hale/Claire Allen, Cupid, guessed by [personal profile] twtd)

17. They met because he took a wrong turn at the hyperspace equivalent of Albuquerque. The first thing she did was try to kill him. And yet they wound up having a baby together. (John Crichton/Aeryn Sun, Farscape, guessed by [personal profile] twtd)

18. She threatened to snap his hands off at the wrists, he offered to buy her a drink, and they quickly became good friends.

19. The first time the audience sees her smile is when she dances with him. Perhaps the ultimate performing arts power couple, reporters absolutely love them. (Linda Keene/Peter Peters [aka Petrov], Shall We Dance, guessed by [livejournal.com profile] thespatz)

20. Their love is so mechanical. They have a theme song, sort of. I wouldn't be surprised if their sex life involved bondage, because one of them has an electrical tape fetish.

I ... have no idea what most of these are, but wow do I want to. Um, the ones that I might have guesses at:

2. Mulder/Scully
8. Castle/Beckett

And these are reaches, but:

11. is Sheridan/Delenn in my head, even though it's not quite true
18. is probably only the Marcus/Ivanova in my head, but perhaps?

Ah, well, in that case 11 is clearly Delenn/Ivanova?

Most of these are just guesses.

1, Peter/Olivia, Fringe
6. Jane/Maura, Rizzoli & Isles?
12. Julian/Jadzia, DS9
16. The characters from Cupid...?
17. John/Aeryn, Farscape

I am really, really sad that I can't remember her name. Was it Claire or am I completely wrong? We're talking about the first version, with Jeremy Piven, right? Because I got into that pretty much the episode before they canceled it and then I was saaaaadddddd.

Oooh, I had downloads, but deleted them without watching them because I ran out of disk space. I should go see if I can find them again.... I think I might have seen three episodes when it actually aired, but I think I might have joined an email list, maybe, possibly? I know I remember reading fic....

I'm going to kick myself, I'm sure, when some of these are revealed. Those I can guess at:

5. An extreme longshot (especially since I've mostly encountered the series only via secondary source material): Sapphire and Steel, of the series bearing their names.

8. This has to be Ned and Chuck (or possibly Ned and Olive, considering the performers) of Pushing Daisies.

10. My best guess, quite possibly wrong: James West and Artemus Gordon, of Wild Wild West. The steampunk gadgets fit, and the library clue would certainly fit Artie. (The other possible series would be Secret Adventures of Jules Verne, which I've only seen small bits of and so can't begin to guess at a character pairing.)

And that will do for now. I am certain I've seen/read all three of 13/14/15, and 18 rings a bell too, but they're eluding me for the moment. Unless 15 is Amelia and Emerson from Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody mysteries -- the description fits, but I suspect it isn't what you had in mind.

Linda Keene and Petrov from Shall We Dance! ♥

I think #10 is Rebecca/Phileas from Secret Adventures of Jules Verne, but I haven't actually *seen* that yet....

#4 sounds like Michael/Fiona from Burn Notice.

5. Fraser and Thatcher from due South!

9. Olive and... Alfredo? Is that his name? (It's something pasta-related, right?) The herbal drug dealer with the anti-depressants!

13. Geoffrey and Ellen, Slings and Arrows
