I wish I'd had time to watch this earlier. ♥ This is amazing. I have to watch this at least 8 more times before I go to bed, now. You're making amazing progress as a vidder. I'm loving the punctuation of their arms and feet at 1:06, the clip at 1:17 is brilliant, o:45 is just delightful, and the way I could actually picture someone doing this entire routine strung together is beautiful. In short: wow. ♥♥♥♥♥♥

It worked out like magic. Seriously. I'm really curious about something else, too. Did you have to slow down or speed up any of the clips? I would swear you didn't, and if that's the case, then you picked the absolute perfect song for these two. I'm over here with stars in my eyes.

Yes! I actually got it on...Tuesday, I think? Which absolutely made that day much, much better, but I'd been avoiding online since it was writewritewrite studystudystudy time, so I didn't get a chance to tell you until now. But now that I'm done, I can do (almost) anything I want!

Did you have to slow down or speed up any of the clips?

I did, actually, although usually it was only by about ten percent, so it's probably not too noticeable. :) It felt like I actually slowed down more of them than I did in my other Fred and Ginger vids, but I haven't looked at the iMovie files of those to compare. Here are the ones I mucked with (all except number 5 were slowed down):

1. Fred's salute at the beginning
2. The last few frames of him and Ginger brushing themselves off
3. Fred doing his little "look at me!" tap dance right after the clip with the ballet dancers
4. The first second of the Waltz in Swing Time
5. The clip of "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" over "they fell all night"
6. The clip of the Piccolino over "As long as we're together"
7. The second half of the big lift at the end

But now that I'm done, I can do (almost) anything I want!

Okay, I have to say, that was some high-quality Movie Magic. So many of those clips were ones I was just shocked fit the song's movement so well. Nice job! I rewatched, keeping an eye out for those clips and I couldn't tell at all that they'd been slowed down or sped up.
