See, Fringe, this is the way to do a standalone episode if you must have them. Your characters have a detente! Of course you should use it to have the doubles meet as much and affectingly as possible!

Astrid meeting Altstrid was fantastic. Jasika Nicole is SO AWESOME. I want aaaaaaall the Astrid episodes now.

Walter prefers Lincoln to Peter. :(

Astrid: Eeek!
Olivia: I always wondered why nobody ever does that.

Dude, nobody has a living mom except Fauxlivia--Olivia's and Astrid's got cancer, Peter's killed herself...that's kind of sad.

"Really, you get her name right?" Astrid, time to give up and just admit this is one of Walter's less charming ways of showing affection.

But Astrid, you...didn't answer her question...and then you just left her with Walter, which seems rude...

Well, Peter still has the Goodwill jacket, but at least he got a pretty scarf to go with it.

I'm guessing this new Observer is the "March" in the glyphs last episode?

Olivia: "Everybody has someone who wants to kill them." That's, um. Dark. I guess death kind of is on her mind, but wow.

"I think I love her!" Oh, Walter. Of course you love Altstrid.

Faux: "I really got to you...admit it, you liked me." While I did enjoy Faux yanking Walter's chain, I really wish we knew how the Olivia switcheroo happened in this timeline so that I could know how bad to feel about enjoying it.

Peter saying what Walter was going to say before he said it at the crime scene was actually a tiny bit creepy.

Awww, Altstrid has studied human emotion and knows that anger often accompanies love. And then she's just like, "Logic dictates you should believe he's your son and love him and be happy!" I love you, Altstrid. (Also, evidence for my supposition that the return of Blue is going to require belief on the part of the Amber characters? Maybe? Let it be true! More importantly, let it be soon!)

Faux: Peter's cute! And probably complicated and tricky like his father!
Olivia: Just your type.
Faux: Turns out I like the nice guys.

...Did she just subtly imply that she and Red!Lincoln finally got it on? It's interesting that she instantly rejects Peter here, whereas in Blueverse she grew to like him pretty quickly.

Ummm, Faux, you are also a cop of some kind, I would think you understood the necessity of finding patterns when tracking a serial killer. Maybe since there are no more vortexes over in Redverse, they've been twiddling their thumbs for so long she's forgotten how to do her job?

Faux pouting because Walter wouldn't give her a Red Vine was hilarious, I must admit.

Awwww, Altstrid getting coffee for the first time and liking it was so cute!

Seriously, the TSA can stop the FBI? This seems imbalanced.

I totally thought Neil was becoming an Observer, though I suppose the Reiden Lake thing should've tipped me off that there was more to it. I was actually a little disappointed that he just stole September's predicting rod. (I'm also disappointed that the Observers' power apparently comes partly? mostly? entirely? from this technology. They were much cooler when they just KNEW what was going to happen because they'd seen it with their own eyes.)

Everyone pause for the Nissan commercial...

Okay, who thought Neil was totally going to shoot Olivia there and bring about September's prophecy?

OMG, that final scene between Astrid and Altstrid. (Which had to be uncomfortable to play out in front of the entire lab...) *sniffle* That was definitely up there with that scene a couple weeks ago between Walter and Redlizabeth. ALL THE AWARDS.

Though I'm kind of surprised Astrid lied like that to Altstrid...I mean, I see how it's compassionate, but maybe I'm just so used to truth-at-all-costs Olivia that it felt weird.

Walter and Faux's mint-and-Red Vine-induced detente was cute, but again, I want to know how Faux's sojourn in Amberverse went. Just think how much more meaningful it would've been between Faux and Blue!Walter. *sigh*

Blu Mankuma! Haven't seen him in forever.

So if September hasn't had his blue rod of future-seeing since 1985, how did he know Olivia was going to die? The rod isn't that important? September-from-before-1985 came to see her? I'm so confused. Also, it looks like he's in trouble with the other Observers...
