Squeak squeak squeak

icepixieYeeeeah, this space is going to be All Dog, All The Time for a little while longer. Anyway, today's success story: she figured out how to play with toys!
It was not the toy I'd been trying to interest her in, but hey, any toy is a good toy. I was hoping it would keep her occupied and non-whiny when we all went off to do other things and left her alone, and in a way, it does. It's just that apparently whining is not only her "I'm so lonely, and I think you all might have died, SOMEONE HOLD ME!" noise, but her "the world is full of rainbows and unicorns and I'm a very happy dog!" noise, because she whines while she plays with the toy. And she whines we she sees one of us come in the door/wake up/otherwise return after more than an hour out of her sight. She just enjoys whining, I guess.

She started carrying it around with her, too, which was utterly adorable, though now she seems to have lost interest. Maybe she'll get to liking it again.
