Burn Notice: "Shock Wave"

icepixieAfter a season that's been stuck between "eh" and "watchable," Burn Notice finally got the lead out and turned out a really good episode!
I think the entire world knew from last week's preview that Nate would kick the bucket this time around. The previews made a big fuss out of someone dying, Burn Notice is still not quite the kind of show that will actually kill off a main character, he just came back to stay with Maddie for an undetermined length of time; ergo, toodeloo, Nate. He's a good character for that treatment, too; just entertaining enough that I cared when he died, but annoying enough that I'm not going to be angry he's gone.
When Barry showed up, though, I thought there might be an outside chance he was the one with an X on his back. Speaking of which, I LOVE BARRY, and I was so happy to see him again! He's so delightfully inept, especially for an accountant to the criminal elite. Plus Sam got to strut his McGyver skills with beer cans and bacon! Love!
Also of note, Fiona getting to really be proactive. She's been proactive all season, but now it actually went somewhere! Or stayed somewhere, as the case may be. (Also: "Damn, girl, you are diabolical!" Hee! Ayn has been a treasure since the first episode this year.) And now she's out! Yaaaaaaay!
I assume whoever shot Nate and Anson is yet another Man Behind The Man, and Michael's burn notice just keeps going on and on forever and ever, world without end. I gave up on this storyline ending about three seasons ago, but I can't say I don't wish they'd ended it a while ago, let Michael back in to the CIA for a season, and then had him decide that actually, he prefers the life he had in Miami helping out clients, so that we could just have him and the rest of the gang A Teaming their way through umpteen seasons like that. Ah, well.
