icepixie: ([Fringe] Two Olivias)
[personal profile] icepixie
Well, that made even less sense than usual (and that's saying a lot, given that this is Fringe), and that cockamamie premise of Michael going to the future and everyone being so awed by how smart AND emotional he is, thus preventing the creation of Observerkind as we know it, was approximately the dumbest thing I've ever seen, but it had some nice emotional moments and callbacks.

FINALLY OLIVIA GETS HER POWERS BACK. I was rolling my eyes hard at how it somehow came to be Peter's choice whether Olivia took the Cortexiphan or not, but whatever, she did and it was awesome.

ALSO THERE WAS REDVERSE! Not nearly enough of it, but we got some good Olivia/Olivia interaction, and to no one's surprise, Redlivia and Nerd!Lincoln got hitched and had a son. Love the teamwork between them and Ourlivia.

There goes badass Olivia, shooting Observers even while hopped up on Cortexiphan and suffering crazy side effects. And she even shorts some electrical fixtures with her mind, yes!

...After seeing Bluelivia and Redlivia walking with the kid, I really kind of want the fic titled "Michael Has Two Mommies."

Heh, Apartment 513. Cute.

OMG, December!

Peter: If we shoot them, they're dead. Why would we want them to float?
Walter: Because it's cool!

Despite the significant lack of awesome in the past two seasons, I will miss this show. Nowhere else am I going to get things like that.

Gene! Awww, Astrid wanted Walter to see her. And double awww, Walter called her name beautiful.

"I believe you call it...hate." Okay, that got a laugh.

Niiiiiice collection of toxins and callbacks! There was an evil snake creature, the giant cold germ, skin-growing powder, razor butterflies, and skin turning to glass, and probably others I missed.

AHAHAHAHA, YES, Olivia just blacked out entire buildings, or possibly all of New York City! And then mentally squished Windmark between two cars! Oh, Olivia, I love you.

"See? I told you that was COOL!"

Ohhhh, Walter. Leading another little boy into the light.

FINALLY, Etta makes it to her father's arms!

Oh COME ON, you couldn't have Astrid meet the Dunham-Bishops for dinner or something? Where was she in new!2015?

...Does Peter have any idea what the white tulip means?

Welp, thus passes Fringe. Part of me is relieved. The other part is sad. They did something excellent there for a long while, and kept beating the odds. Good job, guys.
