After six nights of not getting more than three hours of sleep (much of that in 30-minute snatches), today I begged the CNP at the clinic to do something. In return I got an albuterol inhaler. I don't know that it'll do much for the cough--I am at least getting better during the day, so it's been hard to judge if today's improvement was due to the inhaler or to time--but it took away the feeling that a large animal was parked on top of my chest, so I'll count it as worthwhile either way.

Here's to maybe getting some sleep tonight. Sweet, sweet sleep.

Asthmatic bronchitis. Yes, I know it well. I hope you get better soon soon soon. I ended up needing steroid+rescue inhalers for months after my first bout.

Oh my god, I hope this doesn't turn into anything remotely asthmatic. That sounds ghastly. The inhaler did help me tremendously. I slept 12 hours between last night and a long nap this morning. I feel like I'm on the mend now, at least.
