I know that Firewire is faster than regular USB, but I thought USB 2.0 was supposed to be almost as fast. It's also something most PC's have, while few have Firewire cards.

Also, I've read that the PC integration of the I-POD leaves something to be desired. In addition, the best quality songs now use WMA format, something that the iPod doesn't support.

There's also the big price difference. Not that I'm in the market for an iPod like device, but it is significant.

Which user?

I think the bottom line is that if you're a PC person, the Dell may work out better, while if you're an Apple person go with the iPod.
