US figure skaters on what they would change about the Summer Olympics.
I especially enjoyed the suggestions of adding piranahs to the synchronized swimming pool, a lion on the track, and a giant wall covered in Velcro for the gymnasts, where they get judged on how well they jump up and stick to it. And, this, from Michael Weiss: "Add sharks to the pool in all of the swimming events. Now let's see how fast they swim."
I think I may have just found something to like about him...

Date: 2004-08-23 12:31 pm (UTC)I'd be interested in reading how the summer games athletes think the winter games could be spiced up. Thin ice in places on the rink? Skaters having to compete outdoors with the wind chill, rather than in the weather protected stadium?

They did have to compete outdoors until the seventies...I'm pretty sure the '68 Olys had the competition outside. And thin ice would be interesting...except that it's just concrete under the ~2 inches of ice... ;)
