So I went to RadioShack today and got a nify set of plug adaptors for my laptop (which has its own voltage converter), and a little thing that converts 220 volt electricity to 110 volts for my spiffy electrical toothbrush and the battery charger for my camera. It looks like this. Can anyone who either lives in the UK or has travelled there tell me if that will actually plug into the wall, or do I need to get a plug adaptor for it, too? (Could I get this in Exeter, I wonder?)

That will not plug into a wall. British plugs look like this. http://www.firerescue.homestead.com/files/plug_ext.gif

Just in case, I'd suggest going to Wal-Mart or somewhere and picking up a cheapy set of overseas adapters. You can usually get 7 or so for less than $20. Take the European and Brit ones with you, 'cause if you get a chance to travel, you won't want to have to scramble around trying to find more adapters over there. (I remember using a plug like the one in your pic somewhere, but I can't remember where.)
