Oh. So, so pretty.
Whitney, Chandra, Ellen and I dressed up for the afternoon showing in Mt. Vernon. Cloaks and dresses and elvish things, oh yes. We got accosted by fourteen-year-old girls after the movie asking where we got our costumes.
( Spoilers )
I am so seeing this again. Preferably at a theatre with less-surly employees. There were two people who kept on and on about moving people over to have seats together at the ends of rows, even to the point of a cursing match with a woman who was saving seats for someone in the bathroom and someone getting concessions because she wouldn't give them up. Wow. It was definitely looking like a fistfight was about to start.
And the fangirls...AUGH! We sat right in front of a section of them. I think it was the same ones who asked us about our costumes. They clapped every ten minutes in the second half of the movie, even for really stupid stuff that didn't really necessitate applause. There was a lot of "you can't do that!" and "oh no!", too. Did they not know what was going to happen? Even if you haven't read the books, I think you can figure out the basic plot, eh? And so many "Aragorn is so sexy!" and "ORLANDO!"s. AAAAAAAAUUUUUUUGGGGHHHHH!!!! During the credits, they got all ticked because "Orlando" wasn't listed first or whatever. Ugh. God save us all from obnoxious 14-year-olds.
But even they can't ruin the movie. :)
And now I need to finish paaaaacking...
