*eyes e-mail and flist* Tidal wave. Lemme tell ya.

Anyway. So last night was the Howard Shore/LOTR concert. Shockingly enough, it was the American premiere--one would think that would be in New York or Chicago or somewhere like that, not in Columbus, especially since New York is one of the three stops the program is making in the US. It was sooooooo good. More details )

We didn't get back to Kenyon until after midnight (mostly 'cause it took forever to get out of the parking garage), but it was worth it, even though I had to get up at 8:30 for this "mandatory" OCS pre-departure meeting. They gave us forms that we could very well have filled out on our own. We played a stupid card game. It was one of the most wasted three and a half hour chunks of time I've lived through. Gah.

Kate and I watched my tape of Wonderfalls tonight. Hee.

Went to the Chamber Singers' home concert afterwards. Fun times. Hee, they did the Dubula song that we all did last semester, as well as the pretty Latin one that is fabulous for first sopranos 'cause basically all we do is stay on a high G the whole time. Plus, y'know, a whole bunch of other cool/pretty songs, and of course the usual Kokosing Farewell, which is one of the prettiest school songs I've ever heard.

(N.B. for those who've friended me this past semester: I'm not a fully-fledged choir geek, but I'm still a decently-fledged fairly-high-ranged first sorprano choir geek. Note the icon. My range tops out about three notes above that one. Hehehe.)
