The Emperor's New Groove, which is absolutely hilarious and every time I watch it I try and figure out how on Earth it's a Disney film. No romance! Funny! Jokes which will fly over most kids heads!

Oh, I have seen that one! Obviously I don't remember very much about it, too. Eddie Murphy as a llama is about as good as I can do, and even then I'm not sure if it was him.

David Spade was the llama (although there is backstory there that makes you saying "Eddie Murphy" hysterical to me).

I just remember that Spade, John Goodman, and Patrick "Puddy" Warburton were really funny and the amazement I felt each time I remembered "This is Disney."

Years ago, back when Spade was doing The Hollywood Minute on SNL and Eddie Murphy's career was in the crapper (and that's the nice way of saying it), Spade took a moment during a HM segment to show a picture of Murphy and said "Look at that. A falling star." At the time, as said by Spade, it was really funny and it really pissed Murphy off (especially since there were a few years around 1980 when Murphy was literally the only good thing about SNL).

My understanding is that Murphy still carries this grudge even though he's a bankable movie star again and Spade is second fiddle on 8 Simple Rules.

So, yes, you would get it. But it probably isn't anywhere near as funny having it described. It's more of a "had to be there" kind of thing.
