So the Brown Family Environmental Center is holding a photography contest. The theme is "Transitions in nature around our area." I now have all kinds of fall photos, and I can only submit three. Help!

I think the last two fit the theme the best (fuzzy caterpillar on leaf that's both dead and green, and leaf that used to be green on a tree, now orange and on the rocks), but I also liked the barn from the side, the grains, and the river reflecting the trees.

If they want more of a focus on "the area" - ie, places you can recognize rather than a focus on the transitions - I say go with side barn and river reflecting.

Thanks for your thoughts. The grain photo is winning by a large margin in the poll, and I really like it myself, so I'm 99% sure I'll submit it. I'm partial to the leaf on the gravel as well (my love for macro shots rears its head again ;)), and undecided about the rest. I like that little caterpillar, but it was one of the ones I lost the big version of when my hard drive went kablooey, so I'm not sure how well it'll print from just the 400x650 version. *sigh*
