Happy New Year! God. 2007. Where do these strange new years come from? They always seem so far away, and then suddenly they're here. I think some part of me still thinks it's, like, 1992 or something.
A new year means it's time for new calendars, which is my favorite part of the day. (I have a bit of a thing for clocks and calendars and other time-marking devices.) This year I have the official Doctor Who one from Chandra, and I also have this one, with gorgeous pictures from Alaska. (Look at the one for January, with the northern lights. Preeeetty.)
Hmmm. Now that I'm out of school, one of these days, my brain will shift over from thinking that a new year really begins in August. Won't it?

Date: 2007-01-03 02:10 am (UTC)Heh heh heh. I think most people finally get around to thinking new year = January just before they have kids, and wind up having to go back to new year = August immediately afterwards.
Won't be a problem for me, of course, unless I end up librarianing at a university...
