UGH, glurgy happy endings with kids. Bah. I was thinking Harry was surely a goner, or at least Ron. (Although I hear Harry dies and is resurrected or something ridiculous like that?)

Dumbledore was morally bankrupt (but we knew this right?)

Harry does indeed die, to kill the part of Voldy's soul that is in him, and is resurrected.

Dumbledore was apparently in working with Grisewald (that evil wizard from WWII) before he went on his big campaign of terror. Also is responsible for his sister's death and attempted to get immortality. Also admitted to manipulating Harry.

Oh and at some point Snape was made headmaster of Hogwarts before he was killed. Thus the middle child is named Albus Severus Potter. *dies of sweet overload*

Not enough "gack!" in the world. Also, the other two are James and Lily, because...It's All About Harry? Maybe the middle names are Molly and Arthur.

One would think. I'm guessing that Ginny didn't have much say in the naming of the kids. Which is very sad.

It's not ridiculous in the context of the book, no offense. I thought it was brilliantly written, considering how many loose ends had been floating aroud.

So the epilogue is a bit sappy. The names are sickeningly sweet, but signify something. Harry names one of his sons after two of the hogwarts headmasters - Albus Severus - so that his son will not be ashamed of whichever house he chooses to belong to if the sorting hat gives him the same choice that it gave Harry.

I think the book deserves way more credit than a few sarcastic bulletpoints - I was pretty happy with the whole sevenhundredpagemonstrosity. :)

I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, although I generally find most resurrections to be unnecessary.

(Not enough benefit to read the book, seeing as I was pretty "eh" about the previous six and I have a lot of books on my to-read list, but...)
